Since the grade 4s are starting to focus on Canada's provinces, territories, and regions and the grade 5s are learning about Canadian government, we thought it would be interesting to see if we could identify the natural resources present in Mud Lake.

To begin, we had to figure out what a natural resource was, and here is the definition we used - a natural resource is anything from nature that people find valuable or useful. Check out the list below to see what we discovered and why we thought each item might be useful or valuable. Can you think of anything else that should be added to our list?

Natural Resources
mallard duck
soil
beaver
crab apples
rocks and stones
trees
berries
water
seeds
